Mike was raised in Virginia and holds a BS degree in economics from the University of Richmond. He had a 25 year career on Wall Street specializing in mortgage brokerage and mortgage backed securities retiring from Lehman Brothers as Vice President in 1998.

After retirement, he moved from San Francisco to Apollo Beach and founded Appraisal Alliance, Inc in 2000. By 2003, Appraisal Alliance had 12 State Certified appraisers covering 7 counties and was named the largest residential appraisal firm in Florida's west coast by the Tampa Bay Business Journal.

It is said that one reason for the firm's success is that Mike not only speaks the language of appraisers, he also speaks the language of lenders and mortgage brokers.

Mike, his wife four cats and a dog live in Apollo Beach.
