Developer plans nearly 800 homes in first phase of Sarasota County golf course community

A Texas developer is planning nearly 800 homes as part of a larger master-planned community on over 2,000 acres in Sarasota County.

Forestar Real Estate Group Inc. is planning phase one of Star Farms Village, a golf course community that includes 798 single-family homes and an 18-hole golf course, according to filed permits. The community is north of Interstate 75 and east of North Toledo Blade Boulevard.
