Ellison Development says The Central is ready to rise as land closing nears

When taking a stroll down Central Avenue, progress on the redevelopment of St. Petersburg’s former police headquarters seems minimal.

The parking garage at The Central, a project led by Ellison Development, is the only building that’s gone vertical since Ellison joined the team and took over redevelopment plans in 2023. However, Ellison Development CEO Casey Ellison says a lack of progress is a misconception.
