120-acre Plant City development to target executive home buyers

A Canadian homebuilder plans to develop more than 100 homes in Plant City.

Cardel Homes, which has an office in Riverview, is laying the groundwork for phase one of Southwind, a 135-unit single-family development spanning 68 acres, according to site plans filed with the Southwest Florida Water Management District on Thursday. The homes will be near the intersection of James L Redman Parkway and East Trapnell Road.
