Joint venture partner in St. Pete's The Central withdraws lawsuit to break up partnership

A partner in the redevelopment of St. Petersburg’s former police headquarters has withdrawn its lawsuit to break up the joint venture developing the project.

St. Pete-based Backstreets Capital withdrew its Feb. 11 lawsuit that alleged Ellison Development has concealed information that would illuminate unexplained construction delays and demanded a replacement developer and full financial inspection. The lawsuit was withdrawn without prejudice Friday, meaning it could be refiled.
