Developers have $15 million vision for the old Hall on Franklin in Tampa

The historic yellow brick building that was once home to the Hall on Franklin in Tampa Heights will be reborn as three separate concepts: a Mexican restaurant, a sports bar and a dance club.

An entity linked to a Tampa-based development team paid $5 million for the two-story, 16,000-square-foot building at 1701 N. Franklin St. in early 2025, Hillsborough County property records show. An interior demolition permit and a building alterations permit have been filed, totaling just over $2 million.
