Hyatt Studios to open first Tampa Bay location with 115 apartment-style suites

A new upper-midscale extended-stay hotel will soon break ground in Hillsborough County.

A four-story, 115-key hotel with a Hyatt Studios flag is planned near the intersection of Route 301 and Courtney Palms Boulevard in Brandon. A Southwest Florida Water Management District permit was filed Feb. 11 for the 158,000-square-foot Hyatt. Site plans indicate there will be 147 parking spaces.
