Discount retail giant plans big warehouse in Hillsborough County

A Massachusetts-based discount retail giant known for its home furnishings is planning a giant warehouse in Hillsborough County.

HomeGoods bought 175 acres of land for a warehouse in Plant City along Henderson Way near East Baker Street, a spokesperson for HomeGoods/Homesense told the Tampa Bay Business Journal. A Southwest Florida Water Management District permit was filed Tuesday for a 1.25-million-square-foot warehouse to rise on vacant agricultural land.
