JW Marriott moves toward groundbreaking on St. Pete Beach

Sirata Beach Resort’s expansion on St. Pete Beach is moving forward with plans for a JW Marriott-branded hotel on the property.

In 2024, the St. Pete Beach City Commission approved the expansion of the resort that would add over 400 hotel rooms in two new hotels — a 10-story, 290-room JW Marriott and a nine-story, 130-key Hampton Inn — and a major renovation of the existing resort at 5300 Gulf Blvd. Plans filed with the Southwest Water Management District Tuesday are for the second phase of development and are labeled with the JW Marriott name.
