Tampa Bay communities rise, including new 85-unit Sarasota subdivision

Tampa Bay is seeing an influx of residential development, with a new community underway in Sarasota.

Houston-based homebuilder David Weekley Homes recently broke ground on two new model homes in the community dubbed Lakeview Crossing. The new subdivision will bring 85 single-family homes near the intersection of Hand Road and Proctor Road, according to Sarasota County building records.
