Benderson to develop 50-plus acres in Sarasota's Wellen Park

Benderson Development will transform more than 50 acres of Sarasota’s Wellen Park into a retail and dining destination.

The master-planned community has finalized an agreement with Sarasota-based Benderson to develop a 52-acre site along Tamiami Trail and West Villages Parkway. The mixed-use project will include about 500,000 square feet of retail, restaurants and entertainment.
