Encompass Health to build rehab hospital in Pasco County

Alabama-based Encompass Health Corp. plans to build a 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Wesley Chapel.

The project received approval from the Southwest Florida Water Management District Oct. 17 for an approximately 64,000-square-foot, two-story hospital at 9962 Strickland Ave., southwest of the intersection of Lajuana Boulevard and Strickland Avenue. The new hospital will be situated within the Persimmon Park development of the Wiregrass Ranch master-planned development.
