Whataburger's Tampa Bay return takes shape with three locations

Whataburger is returning to the Tampa area with three locations set to open next year.

The fast-food burger chain is moving forward with construction across Tampa Bay with locations in Largo, Lutz and Brandon. All three locations are in the permitting process with plans to spend $1.3 million per location renovating vacant quick-service restaurants.
