Data-center development surges in key Sun Belt markets

Data-center development is becoming more prolific across the U.S., but certain markets are emerging as bigger power players.

A report released today by CBRE Group Inc. (NYSE: CBRE) found while Northern Virginia remains the top North American data-center market — by a wide margin — Atlanta and Phoenix have surpassed Dallas and Silicon Valley as the next-largest data-center markets on the continent.
