Developers close on Jim and Heather Gills YMCA property in St. Pete, land construction loan

A mixed-use project on the western fringe of St. Petersburg's downtown has reached a critical milestone.

An entity associated with Charleston-based Greystar purchased the land directly to east of the Jim & Heather Gills YMCA for $12 million, according to Pinellas County property records. The company also landed a $50.9 million construction loan from First Citizens Bank, records show.
