USF breaks ground on $340 million stadium, a 'coming-of-age moment'

The University of South Florida is ready to usher in a new era of student and alumni engagement.

The university — joined by state officials and local leaders — broke ground on its $340 million stadium Nov. 8. When complete in 2027, the stadium will seat 35,000 people and is expected to host football and lacrosse games as well as other sporting events, festivals and concerts.
