Historic home in Pass-a-Grille sells for millions weeks after Milton and Helene

A historic home in Pass-a-Grille has sold for $7.5 million just weeks after hurricanes Helene and Milton battered Pinellas County’s beach towns.

Property records show that Mitchell and Dorrie Eviston purchased 1103 Gulf Way from Christopher and Tamara Morrison. The Morrisons then bought a condo in Tierra Verde, property records show. The sale closed Oct. 24, according to a deed; Hurricane Milton hit Florida on Oct. 9, 13 days after Helene made landfall on Sept. 26. Thousands of homeowners, particularly in the region’s waterfront neighborhoods, are now deciding whether to rebuild or sell their properties for land value.
