Franklin Street expands into student housing with acquisition

Franklin Street is launching a student housing division after acquiring a team of brokers who specialize in the commercial real estate sector.

Tampa-based Franklin Street said Tuesday that it has acquired a student housing investment sales team from Marcus and Millichap. The team, which includes eight people, will remain based in Cincinnati and be part of Franklin Street’s institutional services group, which also includes teams that specialize in multifamily and self-storage real estate. Cincinnati is Franklin Street’s 10th market and seventh state.
