With the Trop's roof destroyed, Rays find space for front-office personnel

The Tampa Bay Rays have found a new short-term home for the team's front-office personnel after Hurricane Milton shredded the roof of Tropicana Field.

The Rays have signed a short-term lease for the 40,588-square-foot former UPC Insurance headquarters building at 800 Second Ave. S, the Tampa Bay Business Journal has learned. Tampa-based Third Lake Partners acquired that building in 2022 for $10.5 million.
