Two national fitness chains have signed leases for storefronts at Arts and Entertainment Residences, the 34-story apartment tower that opened earlier this year near the Straz Center for Performing Arts.

Jetset Pilates and YogaSix have both committed to storefronts at AER. Miami-based American Land Ventures developed the tower in a joint venture partnership with Gazit Horizons, the North American affiliate of Tel Aviv-based Gazit Globe Ltd.

The fitness chains are the first to sign leases for AER's commercial space, which totals 33,000 square feet. Jetset has leased over 2,000 square feet; Yoga Six has leased almost 1,600 square feet.

"Jetset and YogaSix are terrific additions to our property that further enhance the entire Arts District neighborhood for all residents and meet the growing focus on wellness for our boutique, luxury community," Zvi Gordon, CEO of Gazit Horizons, said in a statement. "The experience of living at AER is an immersive one — emphasizing rich cultural attractions with an emphasis on health and wellness interwoven with highly unique luxurious living.”

Jetset is a reformer Pilates studio that offers 50-minute classes. It also has a studio under construction in South Tampa.

"As a brand, Jetset is ultra polished, and we’re thrilled to bring it to Tampa as it becomes a national presence. We’ve lived here for more than 30 years each and are proud to be part of this community and the city’s dynamic evolution,” Lauren and Patrick Christopher, Jetset Pilates multi-unit franchise owners, said in a statement.

YogaSix says it is a "full sensory yoga experience" and offers six different types of classes.

"We look forward to contributing to the good vibes and overall wellness of the downtown Tampa community and cannot wait to meet you on the mat this upcoming January," Ashleigh Sheehy, owner of YogaSix downtown Tampa, said in a statement.
