Welch wants to sell prime downtown St. Pete property to Tampa developer

St. Petersburg City Council will soon consider a deal to sell a prime piece of downtown property to Third Lake Partners for $10 million.

Mayor Ken Welch’s administration has recommended selling the parking lot directly west of the former UPC Insurance headquarters. Third Lake Partners acquired the former headquarters property for $10.5 million in 2022.
