Pinellas Park apartment complex sells at a loss

A 288-unit apartment complex along U.S. Highway 19 in Pinellas Park has sold for $61.26 million, according to Pinellas County property records.

Philadelphia-based Independence Realty Trust (NYSE: IRT) purchased the complex from Atlanta-based Cortland. The sale appears to be a cash transaction; a mortgage hasn't been recorded in the county's property records.
