'Coastal cuisine done right': Juno & the Peacock opens on St. Pete's Beach Drive

The owners of the latest concept on downtown St. Petersburg's "restaurant row" acknowledge that the bar has been set high.

Not only does Juno & the Peacock — along with a neighboring cocktail lounge called Pluma — occupy prime real estate on Beach Drive near the Vinoy, but Jeanna and Shawn Damkoehler aren't new to the area. The husband-and-wife duo also owns Allelo, a nearby restaurant and wine bar that has garnered widespread acclaim for its Mediterranean-focused menu since opening in 2022.
