Gulf front estate on St. Pete Beach sold in record-breaking sale

An estate on the Gulf of Mexico has sold for $11.4 million, making it the highest-priced home sale in St. Pete Beach history.

The sale of 2709 Sunset Way closed Aug. 2, according to Pinellas County property records. Judith Vezmar, the former CEO of LexisNexis, sold the home to two Danish couples: Niels Axel and Lili Johansen and Mads Axel and Enxhi Johansen, according to property records. Niels Axel Johansen is the CEO of Denmark-based Brodrene A & O Johansen A/S; Lili Johansen is the company's chief human resources officer.
