Best Buy founder's son lists Hernando County estate on the Gulf of Mexico for sale

A sprawling Hernando County estate on the Gulf of Mexico is on the market for $4.95 million.

Scott and Amy Ferguson of The Ferguson Team at Coastal Properties Group are marketing the home for sale. Hernando County property records show it last sold in 2021 for $4.7 million to a Naples-based entity linked to Richard V. and Lenka Schulze. Richard V. Schulze is the son of Best Buy founder and former CEO Richard M. Schulze, whose family foundation has an office in Naples.

The home at 1227 Osowaw Blvd. is on 23 acres on the Gulf of Mexico. It has five bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms and 8,950 square feet of living space. The property includes a 9,000-square-foot garage with space for 40 vehicles. The listing boasts that a 30,000-square-foot motor court offers plenty of space to land a helicopter.

The property's outdoor features include a "boat ramp, rustic boat house, a historical rustic guest house, a bridge that leads to an island with a floating boat dock and lighted double tennis courts," according to marketing materials.
