RETURN TO NEWS INDEX Supplement manufacturer moving HQ to Pinellas County from New York Supplement Manufacturing Partners (SMP Nutra) has signed a lease for 103,494 square feet at 12333 Enterprise Blvd. in Largo, JLL Inc. said Wednesday. SMP Nutra is moving its headquarters to Largo from Long Island, New York, and will employ 100 people at the Largo facility.
The company will move its executive team to the Tampa area from New York and hire local employees, according to JLL. It offers turnkey service in the supplement world, able to "manufacture all forms of supplements, including tablets, soft gels, powders and gummies" and also offers compliance, graphic design and fulfillment services.
A team of brokers from JLL — Peter Cecora, John Dunphy and Olivia Brock — represented SMP Nutra in the lease transaction. The landlord, a joint venture of STRO Companies and Kushner Cos., was represented by Deron Thomas, Tyler Thomas and Kyle Harris of Industrial Realty Solutions.
“Florida’s business-friendly environment, coupled with a robust labor market, makes it an ideal location to move our headquarters and expand our business operations,” Steve Milano, owner of SMP Nutra, said in a statement. “We are excited about making this move to the Tampa market, which will create local jobs and have a positive impact on our company’s future.”
The Largo industrial property is comprised of two buildings that total 91,000 square feet of industrial space and 12,000 square feet of office space, JLL said. It sits on 3 acres.
“We worked closely with SMP Nutra to identify a suitable location within the greater Tampa market to relocate its New York headquarters. Given the significance of this move, we zeroed in on the Largo market given the availability of adequate commercial space and access to manufacturing labor,” Cecora said in a statement. “The swift completion of the lease highlights the area’s attractiveness as a place to live, the competitive nature of the real estate market in the region today and underscores the continued business migration to Florida.” |
