Construction has begun on a 29-unit condominium development in downtown Sarasota.

The Owen Golden Gate Point project is located at 325 Golden Gate Point on a 1.18-acre site. It will lie between the bridge to the keys and St Armand’s Circle and offer partial bay and marina views.

The mid-rise boutique building is being built by Naples-based The Ronto Group in partnership with Wheelock Street Capital. It will feature two levels of parking and 20 floors of condominiums. The project was designed by MHK Architecture and Planning, and the general contractor is Connor & Gaskins Unlimited.

Pricing for the condos will start in the upper $2 million range.

The building’s lobby and amenity level will feature a club room with a bar. Indoor amenities also include a fitness center, massage suite, stretching/yoga area, steam room and spa. There is also a game room with an indoor/outdoor bar.

Outdoor amenities include an infinity-edge saltwater pool, a spa, a fire pit seating area, and an outdoor bar and grilling area. There is also a walking path, a fenced dog walk/park area, bicycle storage, and guest parking.

Each residence will receive two parking spaces, one of which will be pre-wired for a 40-amp power outlet for electric vehicle charging. Climate-controlled resident storage rooms are also included.
