RETURN TO NEWS INDEX South Tampa condo tower Altura Bayshore completes construction Buyers have begun closing on condos in the tower, which is at West Barcelona Street and South Ysabella Avenue. Construction on the tower began in May 2021. Connor and Gaskins Unlimited of Naples was the general contractor. The Ronto Group, based in Naples, developed the tower.
Smith and Associates Real Estate, which marketed the condos for sale, announced the completion. Smith didn't say how many units are left, only that the tower is a "near sell-out" and that "the few remaining residences include the 23rd-floor penthouse." The remaining condos are priced from $2 million.
"We are excited to welcome Altura residents into their new homes. Opportunities for new construction with close proximity to one of Tampa Bay’s most scenic trails are rare, and buyers jumped at this special chance to own on Bayshore," David Moyer, vice president, developer services at Smith, said in a statement. "The sales success demonstrates the demand for luxury living in South Tampa, especially when paired with incredible water views and top-notch amenities like a rooftop pool and pickleball."
Other amenities include "a rooftop lounge offering breathtaking views of the city skyline, a fourth-floor basketball court, a dog-walk area, bocce courts, fitness, guest suites and more," according to Smith.
It is near the Ritz-Carlton Residences, Tampa, which recently opened on Bayshore Boulevard. A second phase of the Ritz-Carlton Residences is under construction, and its Miami-based developer, Related Group, recently closed a $136 million construction loan. |
