Siesta Key waterfront home sells for $9.25 million

A waterfront mansion on Bay Island in Siesta Key has sold for $9.25 million.

The home, located at 799 Freeling Drive, was listed in February for $9.975 million. It sold on May 15 to a private trust, according to a deed filed in Sarasota County. The mansion sits on a 0.49-acre lot and is called Vivre Le Reve, or Living the Dream.

Michelle Ward of Compass Florida was the listing agent for the property. Courtney Tarantino with Coldwell Banker Realty represented the buyer.

According to Compass, the transaction marks the highest sale to date on Freeling Drive. The home totals 7,636 square feet and includes five bedrooms, three full and two half bathrooms. The sales price breaks down to $1,211 per square foot.

The home, built in 1994 and fully renovated in 2017, was built by Perrone Construction and designed by architect Clifford Scholz.

The three-story home features a family room with 21-foot ceilings, a movie theater with 12 theater seats, an office, a laundry room, and updated appliances.

The owner’s suite on the second floor features a private terrace with water views. Outdoor amenities include a saltwater pool, an inground jacuzzi, an outdoor shower, an outdoor kitchen and dining area, and a three-hole putting green.

There are 69 feet of bayfront access and a dock with a 69-foot concrete seawall. The dock can accommodate up to a 60-foot yacht and includes a 24,000-pound boat lift and a davits for a 16-foot boat.
