RETURN TO NEWS INDEX Waterfront home in St. Petersburg's Snell Isle sells for $9.6 million The sale closed on April 30, according to a deed filed in Pinellas County. The sellers were Simran and Amy Singh, and the buyers were Dean and Laura DeSantis. The 5,105-square-foot home sits on an exclusive island in Snell Isle with 30 other homes. The home, located at 117 Bay Point Drive NE, has five bedrooms, four full bathrooms and two half bathrooms.
The pricing of $1,880 per square foot is a record for Snell Isle.
Kristen Naruns Burke of Northstar Realty listed the home for sale, and Jennifer Zales with Coldwell Banker Realty represented the buyer. Burke, Kirby Bryan and Georgia Janas comprise the Northstar Realty Luxury team.
“This was a significant sale for Snell Isle, one of the most premium locations in Pinellas County,” Zales said. “Snell continues to be a top choice for buyers and offers newer construction homes like 117 Bay Point. These rate very well for insurance which is a driver for buyer decisions in today’s market.”
The home, built by Windstar in 2013, has undergone an extensive remodel and features water views from nearly every room.
The kitchen, crafted by Brightwood Works, features custom oak cabinets and Brazilian Calacatta Viola marble countertops. The home also includes an infinity-edge pool.
The property has 132 feet of water frontage and offers views of downtown St. Pete and Tampa Bay.
“Buyers are willing to pay a premium for something exceptional,” Burke told the Tampa Bay Business Journal. “117 Bay Point offered stunning open water view with one of a kind sunset skyline of downtown St. Petersburg.” |
