Westshore Yacht Club condos break ground

A three-tower condo project in the Westshore Yacht Club will celebrate its groundbreaking next week.

Construction on the 77-unit Aqua began in April. A groundbreaking ceremony will be held May 9. Prices start at $1.5 million, and 40% of Aqua's units have been presold, according to Smith and Associates Real Estate, which is marketing the condos for sale.

The developer is Westshore Group LLC, led by Miami developer Eddie Avila. Coastal Construction is the general contractor. The tower's 6.1-acre site is the last vacant parcel in the Westshore Yacht Club.

All units in the tower face west to maximize sunset views. Bob Hall of CGHJ, who designed Virage Bayshore and Altura Bayshore, is the architect on the project. The interior design team is IDDI, and the landscape architect is Booth Design Group.

"Aqua is not just a place to live; it's a sanctuary where residents can enjoy the best of waterfront living coupled with a sense of belonging and community," Avila said in a statement. "The proximity to The Bay Club adds to the allure, providing residents with access to exceptional dining experiences, spa treatments and leisure activities right at their doorstep."
