RETURN TO NEWS INDEX Treasure Island waterfront home sells for $7 million The sale closed on April 22. The 6,400-square-foot home sits on a 0.34-acre lot and was purchased by a private entity. The home is currently still under construction and is slated to be completed in September. The sales price breaks down to approximately $1,093 per square foot.
Peter Arner and Amanda Van Slyke with Compass were the listing agents for the site.
“This is a record sale for an off-the-beach home in Treasure Island,” Arner said. “Finding this much waterfront is rare, and from every side of the house, there is a water view. We had been looking at other properties this builder built and the buyer fell in love with the modern, clean style and design.”
The Hug Co. is the developer and designer of the home, which is located at 48 Dolphin Drive on a cul-de-sac. It is less than half a mile from the Treasure Bay Golf and Tennis center and just over a mile from the Bilmar Beach Resort.
The home has five bedrooms, five full bathrooms and two half bathrooms. All five bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms with walk-in closets. The upper level includes a media room with an expanded wet bar, a covered deck and a gym. Each level has a laundry room. The kitchen has professional appliances and a walk-in pantry with a wine column, speed oven and second dishwasher.
Unique attributes include European wall-hung toilets and wall-hung vanities, Japanese rainscreen siding, scored concrete block exterior floating staircase with glass railing, and European white oak hardwood floors throughout. Arner said the home features a luxury high-end West Coast aesthetic and comes with 10-foot-tall floor-to-ceiling glass walls.
It also features an elevator and an additional 2,400 square feet of covered outdoor space, as well as a four-car garage. The lot includes 130 feet of seawall and offers views of the sunset on the Gulf of Mexico. Outdoor amenities will include a large saltwater pool and spa, an outdoor kitchen and a large deepwater dock.
Arner said the luxury market remains strong along the Gulf Coast and buyers are searching for new construction with open waterfront views.
“I have a healthy amount of buyers who are coming here from other places who want brand new construction,” Arner said. “They want a clean, modern look and they want space. They want those clean lines and high-end amenities.” |
