National discount retailer Burlington will open a new location in one of Pinellas County’s largest shopping centers.

Burlington has taken over the 23,651-square-foot former Bed Bath and Beyond space in Largo Plaza on Ulmerton Road. The retailer is hiring for the Largo location but has not announced an opening date beyond “this spring.”

When the Largo store opens, Burlington will have more than 100 locations in Florida. At the end of 2023, the retailer had more than 1,000 stores nationwide.

The Burlington store will feature women’s, men’s and children’s clothing departments, a shoe department, home décor, pet care and toys.

Kimco Realty owns Largo Plaza. The shopping center’s Bed Bath and Beyond was one of over 200 locations across the U.S. that closed in 2023. Largo Plaza’s other tenants include PetSmart, Dollar Tree, a Once Upon a Child clothing store, Marshalls, Famous Footwear, Bath & Body Works and Bealls Florida. It is anchored by the Regal Largo Mall movie theater, as well as Target and Publix Super Markets, which own their real estate.

The plaza lies at the Ulmerton Road and Seminole Boulevard intersection and is across the street from The Home Depot and the Paradise Shops of Largo shopping mall.
