RETURN TO NEWS INDEX Developer alters vision for condo tower on Mirror Lake in St. Pete In November 2022, Skyward Living, which is led by Hudson Harr, proposed an 18-story tower with 77 units, 840 square feet of commercial space and a 133-space parking garage. The DRC expressed concerns about the size of the project and asked Harr to consider reducing the height and moving the tower back off of Mirror Lake Drive.
Skyward Living is now proposing an 11-story mixed-use tower at the site, which is located at 200 Mirror Lake Drive North. The podium is now three floors instead of five, and the building will sit further west from Mirror Lake Drive with a 16-foot setback rather than the required minimum setback of 10 feet.
The 125-foot tower will have 45 units and 72 parking spaces. The ground floor will have a lobby, commercial space, bike storage and two entrances to the parking garage. Floors two and three will have parking and one residential unit per floor. The fourth floor will have three units, an outdoor terrace, pool and amenity space.
Floors five through 10 will have six units per floor, and the 11th floor will have four penthouse units.
Currently, there is a surface parking lot, two office buildings and two apartment buildings with eight units on the site. The buildings will be demolished to make way for the tower.
The development team also includes St. Petersburg-based Place Architecture.
The DRC will review the new site plan on April 3. |
