RETURN TO NEWS INDEX St. Pete brewery property previously home to Flying Boat, The Brutalist Temple of Beer has sold The property was home to both Flying Boat Brewing Company and later The Brutalist Temple of Beer, which was headed by Aric Parker of Tampa-based King State Coffee Roasters.
After Flying Boat closed, Brutalist leased the space before King State opened its St. Pete location last year.
The 10,747-square-foot industrial/flex building is located at 1776 11th Ave. N. The buyer also purchased brewing equipment at the site for $300,000, according to Bridgewater Commercial Real Estate. The property sold on March 8, according to Pinellas County property records.
Davis Nunneley of Bridgewater Commercial represented the seller in the real estate transaction. Demetri Venetos of the Florida Business Exchange represented the buyer and handled the asset purchase.
The new owner intends to open a new brewery concept on the site, according to Bridgewater Commercial.
“Ever since this listing hit the market, members of the surrounding neighborhoods have been hoping this location would open as another brewery,” Nunneley said in a release. “I am excited to see what the buyers do with the property, and I have no doubt that it will serve the community well.”
The property has a brewing facility and a taproom with multiple seating areas. Upstairs is an office and conference room. There is also a large outdoor patio on the site. The building was built in 1981; in 2021, a new roof was added.
The brewery lies between the Kenwood and Historic Uptown neighborhoods and is approximately a mile from Tropicana Field and less than two miles from downtown St. Pete. |
