Kolter begins construction on amenity deck at Art House in St. Pete

Kolter Urban has hit another construction milestone as it begins to work on the Cloud 9 amenity deck at Art House St. Petersburg in downtown.

General contractor Coastal Construction has completed structural pours and infrastructure for all the parking decks at Art House. When complete, the luxury condominium tower, which is being built at 235 First Ave. S, will be 42 stories and will have 244 condominiums.

The Cloud 9 amenity deck will have a resort-style pool and spa, cabanas, conversation areas and open gathering spaces, a fitness center, a theater and a club room overlooking the pool terrace with a private dining room.

The tower is being built on the site of the former surface parking lot near the 200 Central office tower. Residences will range from two to three bedrooms and will feature floor-to-ceiling windows and balconies with views of both downtown St. Pete and Tampa Bay.

The units will range from 1,380 to 2,637 square feet. There are 12 penthouses spanning the top three floors of the tower.

Art House was designed by SB Architects with interiors by ID & Design International.

Kolter held its groundbreaking for the tower in June 2022. One of the penthouses for the tower went under contract in May 2023 for $6.1 million, which will break down to approximately $1,258 per square foot when the sale closes. Condos sold prior to completion of the tower will not close until the owner can take occupancy.

On July 21, 2023, the group completed the foundation pour for the tower. Within an 18-hour window, 65 cement trucks poured 3,132 cubic yards of concrete, officially kicking off the start of vertical construction.
