St. Petersburg College plans to sell two properties in Pinellas County that are primed for redevelopment.

CBRE has been hired as the exclusive agent for the sale and redevelopment of the sites, which total 32 acres. The team marketing the properties consists of David Conn, Scott Peek, Jubeen Vaghefi and Denny St. Romain, along with Lee Ann Korst of CBRE’s Public Institutions and Education Solutions. CBRE’s PIES group provides real estate services to government and educational institutions.

“These properties offer a rare opportunity to develop large mixed-use properties in the state’s densest county,” Conn, an executive vice president with CBRE, said in a statement. “Developers are facing a scarcity of available land for new projects, particularly with this size of acreage, while Florida’s business-friendly climate continues to attract relocations of corporations and residents alike.”

The first property is the Allstate Campus at 3200 34th St. S in South St. Pete. It is approximately 17.18 acres and is just over a mile from the Skyway Marina District. Offers for the property must be submitted no later than 3 p.m. March 15.

The second property is home to the Health Education Center at 7200 66th St. N in Pinellas Park. It is 15.1 acres and at the southwest corner of Park Boulevard. Offers for the property must be submitted no later than 3 p.m. March 18.

Janette Hunt, vice president of finance and business operations at SPC, said the college is committed to ensuring the sale of the properties aligns with its “mission to enrich and strengthen lives throughout Pinellas County and the Tampa Bay area.”

“We invite bids from those who share the college’s vision of leveraging this property to contribute to the betterment of the community, enhance educational opportunities, promote economic growth, support sustainable development and collaborate with community partners,” Hunt said in a statement.
