Greystar Real Estate Partners begins preleasing for Gateway area apartments in St. Pete

Preleasing has begun for Marlowe Gateway in St. Petersburg, the latest apartment project from Charleston, South Carolina-based Greystar Real Estate Partners.

The community, located at 2790 Grand Ave., features one- to three-bedroom units that range from 765 to 1,279 square feet. Marlowe Gateway has 412 units, 20% of which are set aside as workforce housing units.

“We love St. Pete and Marlowe Gateway, which is another example of our commitment to the market,” David King, vice president of Greystar, said in a release. “Marlowe Gateway will be the premier garden-style community in the submarket and will stand out in terms of finish quality, amenity program and overall aesthetic.”

The units all have screened-in balconies or ground-level patios, including quartz countertops, GE appliances, and luxury wood-styled flooring. Amenities at the community include two heated resort-style pools, an expansive clubhouse and a 3,000-square-foot fitness complex.

The clubhouse will feature a resident lounge, billiards and a coworking program with conference rooms and micro-offices.

The community also includes multiple courtyards, a dog park, a bike workshop and washing station, EV charging stations and an outdoor kitchen for grilling and dining.

“We focused on the outdoor amenity experience for this one and nailed it,” King said in a release. “It’s just a really well-thought-out site plan with fun and intuitive amenity programming combined with mature landscaping.”

The community lies near St. Petersburg’s Gateway employment hub, which is 15 minutes from the St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport and 18 minutes from the Tampa International Airport. The community is minutes from major employers like Lockheed Martin, Raymond James Financial and the Home Shopping Network.

This community will fill a portion of the 93-acre Greystar purchased from Jabil Inc. The company is also building an industrial park on 75 acres of the site. The company aims to complete construction on Marlowe Gateway by summer 2024.
