Ultra high-end home sales surged in Tampa Bay in 2023

While the number of single-family home sales dropped in 2023, the number of ultra-luxury home sales topped 150 last year.

When comparing 2023 to 2020, the number of single-family homes sold in Tampa Bay dropped by over 14%. During that same time, the number of homes sold for $5 million or more nearly quadrupled from 42 in 2020 to 156 in 2023.

Pinellas County, in particular, saw a major increase in these top-end home sales, more than doubling from 24 in 2022 to 50 in 2023. Sarasota County actually saw a decrease from 67 ultra-luxury homes sold in 2022 to 51 in 2023.
