RETURN TO NEWS INDEX Outdoor kitchen store to replace The Pub at International Plaza in Tampa Paradise Grills has taken over the two-story space previously home to The Pub, a British restaurant that closed in 2023. The space is in Bay Street, the mall's dining corridor.
The retailer is currently located along North Dale Mabry Highway in Carrollwood, where it occupies an endcap in a shopping center anchored by The Noble Crust.
"This radically redesigned, larger two-story concept gallery in International Plaza will truly deliver a lifestyle experience for Tampa area residents seeking that ultimate outdoor living solution with our beautiful outdoor kitchen grill islands, island bars and award-winning tiki huts and pergolas," Kimberly Kanary, Paradise Grills chief marketing officer, told the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
The mall's ownership, Taubman Centers, was not immediately available for comment Thursday.
Paradise Grills is opening new showroom galleries across the U.S., Kanary said. In Florida, the company has another location planned in Town Center at Boca Raton. Elsewhere, new locations are planned in Atlanta's Buckhead neighborhood, King of Prussia mall near Philadelphia and Fashion Mall in Indianapolis. The Boca Raton and Tampa locations will open this spring, she said.
At International Plaza, Paradise Grills will be located near Restoration Hardware's multistory design gallery. Both Paradise Grills and RH cater to luxury homes — and Tampa Bay's luxury real estate market has exploded in recent years. The transformation of The Pub space is the latest evolution of the shopping mall; construction is also underway to transform the former Life Time Fitness into Dick's House of Sport. House of Sport is a new concept from Dick's Sporting Goods, and the retailer will leave WestShore Plaza when its location at International Plaza opens. |
