Westshore Yacht Club condo towers have a general contractor

Aqua, a three-tower condominium development proposed in Tampa's Westshore Yacht Club, has selected a general contractor.

Coastal Construction will build the 77-unit project, which went public in late 2022. Presales, led by Smith and Associates Real Estate, began in 2023. The developer is Westshore Group LLC, led by Miami developer Eddie Avila.

Aqua occupies 6.1 acres, and all units will be western facing to maximize sunset views.

West Palm Beach-based Coastal Construction has built several prominent projects throughout the Tampa Bay region in recent years. Its active projects here include the Arts and Entertainment Residences, under construction near the David A. Straz Jr. Center for Performing Arts, and The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Tampa, under construction on Bayshore Boulevard. Coastal was also the general contractor on office tower Thousand and One Water Street and Water Street Tampa apartment tower Heron and the JW Marriott.

Beyond Smith and Coastal, the development team includes Curts Gaines Hall Jones Architects, design firm IDDI of Fort Lauderdale and United Landmark Associates.
