Former Lightning player sells Davis Islands home for $6.25 million

Ondrej Palat, a former Tampa Bay Lightning player, and his wife have sold their waterfront home on Davis Islands for $6.25 million.

The 6,536-square-foot home, located at 464 Lucerne Ave., sits on an approximately 0.32-acre corner lot. It was built in 2014 and includes a three-car garage. The sales price breaks down to over $956 per square foot.

Allan Mezrah of the Toni Everett Co. represented the seller, and Jennifer Zales of Coldwell Banker Realty represented the buyer.

The home was purchased by Palat in December 2017 for $3.3 million, according to Hillsborough County property records. Palat joined the New Jersey Devils in 2022.

The kitchen, breakfast nook and family room open to a covered patio. The kitchen features Calcutta marble countertops and backsplash and a variety of state-of-the-art appliances. In total, the home has six bedrooms and six-and-a-half bathrooms.

The home includes a formal living room and formal dining room, a first-floor guest suite, two laundry rooms, an expansive owner’s suite complete with a wet bar, owner’s bath, and three extra large walk-in closets. There are four other bedroom ensuites and a loft.

Outdoor amenities include a heated saltwater pool with a waterfall and a spa, a large, covered patio with an outdoor kitchen and bar, a gas fireplace, multiple seating areas and a turf backyard.

The property sits along a deepwater canal and features partial open bay views. It includes a large dock and boat lift with electric/water connections.
