Boutique condominium tower in downtown St. Pete reaches key construction milestone

The Nolen, a boutique luxury condominium tower in downtown St. Petersburg has officially topped out.

The 23-story tower is under construction at Fourth Avenue NE, near The Vinoy Renaissance and North Straub Park. When complete the tower will feature 31 residences.

The project is a partnership of DDA Development, Backstreets Capital, Place Architecture and Melissa Kelly Design Studio. Ellison Construction is the general contractor. The entire team is based in Tampa Bay.

“We've strived to infuse elements of wellness, sustainability, and community into every aspect of The Nolen,” Bowen Arnold of DDA Development, said. “The topping out ceremony is a significant milestone, and it brings us one step closer to delivering on our commitment to redefine upscale living in this vibrant city. We're grateful to our partners and dedicated team who've helped shape The Nolen into the exceptional community it is today."

The Nolen is a green-certified community and was named after urban planner John Nolen, who was a visionary in planning St. Petersburg's waterfront parks.

Each residence has its own private elevator lobby. Interiors for the units include expansive terraces, oversized walk-in closets, state-of-the-art appliances, and waterfall stone countertops.

David Moyer, director of sales developer services for the listing agent Smith & Associates Real Estate, said the tower will become a “defining landmark” in St. Pete and said the sustainability and innovative design for the tower is “exceptional.”

Construction began in Oct. 2022.
