Hotel near Busch Gardens sells for just over $14.3 million

A Miami investment group has picked up a limited-service hotel near Busch Gardens in Temple Terrace.

An entity linked to IRAS Group paid just over $14.3 million for the Hilton Garden Inn Tampa North in late December, according to Hillsborough County property records. The seller was an affiliate of Blackstone, which paid $14.9 million for the property in 2017, property records show.

Hotel sales prices reflected in public property records typically do not reflect the entire purchase price. The price of furniture, fixtures and equipment is not typically accounted for in property records.

The hotel was built in 2000, according to property records. It has 144 keys, and the purchase price breaks down to $99,490 per key.

Amerant Bank provided a $14.25 million loan for the acquisition, according to property records.

The hotel offers a free shuttle to Busch Gardens and any other attractions within 5 miles.
