$58.6M Clearwater High School modernization project is complete

Tampa-based JE Dunn has completed a 276,920-square-foot campuswide project at Clearwater High School.

JE Dunn broke ground in 2021 with the demolition of 17 buildings and a construction plan built around three major phases. Five two-story buildings and one one-story building were built, including a new administrative suite with multi-use collaborative space, a new cafeteria and media center, science classrooms and labs, general classroom learning suites, and exceptional student education classrooms. The firm also completed a new central energy plant as well as the high school’s football stadium and a new synthetic turf track and field.

Renovation work also included utility relocations, interior and exterior paint, the remodeling of the ROTC program, aerospace program, woodshop classrooms and additional classroom spaces, flex spaces and testing labs. In addition, all renovation work included new floors, ceilings and light fixtures.

The facility is one of the oldest high schools in Pinellas County.

JE Dunn is the 12th largest general building contractor, with 26 offices nationwide. The company entered the Florida market in 2008 and established the Tampa office in 2015.
