RETURN TO NEWS INDEX The Brutalist brewery property in St. Pete lists for $2.7 million The 10,747-square-foot building at 1776 11th Ave. N was also home to Flying Boat Brewing Co. Flying Boat opened at the site in 2017 and sold to The Brutalist in January 2022. The Brutalist was headed by Aric Parker of King State Beer and closed in late October.
Bridgewater Commercial Real Estate, which is marketing the property for sale, announced the listing Tuesday. The site is fully built out for another microbrewery to occupy the space. It has a taproom with three entertaining rooms, a covered patio and a large outdoor space. The second floor has an office and conference room.
There is also a separate brew room with two loading docks and two large walk-in coolers. According to the listing, there is an option to purchase brewing equipment from the seller. The building was built in 1981, and a new roof was added in 2021. There is also new electric wiring, and a speaker system was recently installed throughout the building.
“With the property’s high-quality buildout and strong location, we’re excited to see this property serve as a home to a new or expanding local Tampa Bay business,” Bridgewater Commercial’s Davis Nunneley said.
The brewery is a few blocks from Woodlawn Park and lies between the Kenwood and Historic Uptown neighborhoods. It is less than 2 miles from downtown St. Petersburg and just over a mile from Tropicana Field. |
