Cooper's Hawk Winery and Restaurants to open in Wesley Chapel

A popular chain restaurant centered around its own Illinois winery will open in Wesley Chapel this month.

Cooper’s Hawk Restaurant and Winery, which has locations in Tampa and Sarasota, will open at 28963 State Road 56 on Nov. 20, the company said. It is the 57th location of Cooper’s Hawk.

State Road 56 has become a dense retail and restaurant corridor in recent years as Wesley Chapel’s population has exploded. Cooper’s Hawk is just east of the Shops at Wiregrass, an open-air retail center that sold for $70.5 million earlier this year.

“We are excited to be a part of this vibrant community and look forward to introducing our unique dining and wine experience to the residents and visitors of Wesley Chapel,” Tim McEnery, founder and CEO, said in a statement.

The Wesley Chapel location can seat 368 people, plus an additional 40 patrons on the patio. The space will include a “Napa-style tasting room and artisanal retail market” and a full-service bar, according to a release.
