Naked Farmer to open delivery kitchen on Gandy Boulevard

Naked Farmer will open a restaurant strictly for to-go orders on Gandy Boulevard in Tampa.

The Tampa-based fast-casual chain has leased the 2,500-square-foot storefront previously home to Outback & Carrabba's Express. It will open Oct. 23, Naked Farmer founder Jordan Johnson told the Tampa Bay Business Journal. It will expand Naked Farmer's capacity for catering orders, Johnson said, as well as the restaurant's delivery radius.

Johnson wasn't looking for a Gandy Boulevard location or even a standalone delivery kitchen. But his restaurant was the top pick when the property's owners, Tampa-based Alliant Partners, asked a neighborhood Facebook group what they'd like to see in the space.

Alliant's Jonathan Holubik and Spencer Muratides represented the developer in the lease transaction.

Johnson said he's looking for additional real estate and that Naked Farmer's ideal footprint is 2,400 square feet, though the prototype is flexible for urban and suburban environments.

"We are entering a period of rapid growth," he said.

In 2024, Naked Farmer will open in downtown Miami in Southeast Financial Center, which is Florida's largest office tower, as well as in University Town Center in Sarasota.
