Dunedin waterfront property once home to Kellogg Mansion lists for $7 million

A waterfront property that was once the site of the iconic Kellogg Mansion in Dunedin has hit the market for $7 million.

The property, located at 129 Buena Vista Drive S, features 244 feet of water frontage as well as a private dock. The lot is just over 1 acre in the Dunedin Isles community and overlooks Sand Key.

The site is listed by the Tillung Tampa Bay team, Terry Tillung and Tanner Tillung, with Coldwell Banker Realty.

The 7,600-square-foot Kellogg Mansion was home to the founder of the Kellogg Co., W. K. Kellogg. Featuring eccentric décor, the mansion was built in 1925 and included a disco room, a staircase to nowhere, stained glass windows, columns with gold accents, tile mosaics of ancient kings and a carriage house.

In 2021, it was announced it would be demolished, and a year later, it was torn down. Prior to its demolition, the University of South Florida's digital heritage team mapped out the home and virtually preserved the mansion.

The undeveloped land gives a buyer the opportunity to build a custom home along the waterfront.

The property is less than 2 miles from downtown Dunedin, roughly two minutes from the Pinellas Trail and less than a mile from Hammock Park. The site is 5 miles from Honeymoon Island and is minutes from Caledesi Island State Park.
