RETURN TO NEWS INDEX New apartments South of Gandy begin preleasing Marlowe South Tampa, a 350-unit apartment complex on more than 25 acres, has started preleasing, developer Greystar said. A 502-square-foot studio apartment was starting at $1,635 per month on Sept. 19, though apartment rents can fluctuate daily. The complex will also offer one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans as well as two- and three-bedroom townhomes.
The apartment complex will include "more than 12 acres of protected ponds and wetlands surrounded by natural vegetation and inhabited by local wildlife," Alexandra Kozak-Mehta, Greystar development director, said in a statement.
The first residents will be able to move in in late 2023, Greystar said, and the entire community will wrap up construction in 2024.
"We know outdoor space is more important than ever for our residents, which is why we designed so many outdoor amenity options and have private screened-in balconies in nearly every unit," Kozak-Mehta said in a statement. "We have built a sophisticated community with high-quality finishes inside and out that we know residents will love, and we can't wait to start welcoming them home."
The South of Gandy area remains attractive to multifamily real estate developers and investors even as apartment developments and investment sales face challenges nationwide. Earlier this year, a complex known as Advenir at The Watson, which is also South of Gandy, sold for more than $47.8 million or $233,143 per apartment. |
